 Project Synopsis
The expansion of the Novo Nordisk 5-story headquarters in Princeton, NJ features a sleek interior with 130 Dorma Agile 150 sliding glass doors fabricated by JE Berkowitz of Pedricktown. NJ. Awarded by Fortune Magazine in 2008 as ‘One of the Best Companies to Work For’ this thriving healthcare facility specializing in diabetes control, has seen growth in the economic downturn. In anticipation of progress, this $20 million expansion accommodates up to 400 employees and houses a 100 person training facility. Completed in the spring of 2008, the architect Kling Stubbins designed the addition to employ LEED principals, by utilizing natural lighting and sustainable construction materials and furnishings. JEB teamed up with Rabinowitz Glass to fabricate Dorma’s Agile 150 sliding glass doors utilizing 9/16 tempered laminated glass. The doors were constructed with proven roller technology to ensure effortless operation, while concealing the operating mechanism within its tracks to create a minimalistic appearance.
