JEB's WIN-DUO units are specified in commercial applications, including office buildings, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, libraries, museums, and shopping malls, to enhance a building's beauty and utility.  Available in a wide range of sizes, shapes, colors, and coatings, these insulating glass units reduce thermal transfer between indoor and outdoor environments, lower heating and cooling costs, reduce energy consumption and provide a comfortable indoor room environment.  In addition, WIN-DUO units reduce outside noise, bring a natural daylight, and control solar heat gain.

Long Life and Superior Performance

JEB's commitment to state-of-the-art equipment and technology is evident at its Westville, New Jersey plant.  Over 180,000 square feet, this facility utilizes the most modern fabrication equipment available in the industry today.

Three vertical automated Lisec insulating glass lines are equipped with robotic sealing, auto tabbing, deionized treated water for washing, argon gas filling capability, on-line edge deletion capabilities and state-of-the-art continuous bent spacer frame manufacturing.  Both lines are computer driven and all scheduling is rationalized by state-of-the-art software plant program.  The insulating lines are supported by three Billco automated XYZ cutting lines, two TGL horizontal tempering ovens, and one Glasstech horizontal convection tempering oven.  In addition, JEB produces ceramic frit spandrel from its production lines.

WIN-DUO units are made with the finest materials available.  Float glass is available in a full range of colors and thicknesses.  Glass may be annealed, heat-strengthened, fully tempered, heat soaked, or laminated.  A 100% molecular sieve desiccant is used for maximum effective life of the IG unit.  Aluminum spacers are available in both continuous bent and keyed corner process and carry a permanent certification label on the spacer.

All WIN-DUO units are dual seal, using a primary butyl sealant that provides an effective moisture vapor transmission barrier and a secondary two-part polysulfide sealant suitable for conventional glazing applications.  For structural applications, a two-part secondary silicone sealant is used.

Through strong relationships with domestic and international float glass suppliers, JE Berkowitz, LP is at the forefront of new product development, including the use of warm edge technology, high performing argon gas filling, and the new generation of post-temperable "double stack" low-emissivity and reflective glasses.

At JE Berkowitz, LP we offer our customers a unique combination of outside sales support and inside customer service through our staff of customer service and technical representatives, product managers, estimators, and in-house architectural specifiers.  JEB's custom computer system and software link all facets of production, planning and order tracking.

Our own in-house box department insures the safe packaging of finished goods that are delivered on a company owned fleet of over twenty vehicles, half crane equipped, and all driven by full time JEB employees.  The Mid-Atlantic distribution network is supported by depots in Capital Heights, Maryland and Hartford, Connecticut.

Modern production facilities

In our 180,000 square foot plant, three automatic cutting lines and three horizontal tempering furnaces supply our three insulating lines.  All three lines are state-of-the-art vertical automated lines for high production of rectangular and shaped commercial units.

Float Glass is available from JEB in a full range of colors and thicknesses in the largest sizes; annealed, heat-strengthened, tempered or laminated.

Desiccant is a 100% molecular sieve for maximum effective life.

Spacer of anodized aluminum is configured to provide optimum dessicant and sealant capacity.  Spacers are available in both continuous bent and corner keyed processes, and carry a permanent certification label on the spacer.

Fully tested and certified

Level A rated units are fully tested and certified under the IGCC Program in accordance with ASTM E774.  JEB performs daily testing of WINDUO components and sample units in the plant.

Primary Butyl Sealant is used in double seal WINDUO units.  It is the most effective moisture vapor transmission barrier known.

Secondary silicone sealant is a two-part Dow Corning or

GE, suitable for structural glazing applications.  IGCC 1052  CBA rated.

Secondary polysulfide sealant is a high performance, two part Morton/Thiokol or PRC, suitable for conventional glazing applications.  IGCC 352 CBA rated.
